How do I identify and act on low engagement in my organization?

The best place to start is the Heatmap. Go to Insights in the left navigation and select Heatmap.

What the Heatmap shows

The Heatmap cross-tabulates engagement and eNPS scores against your organizational structure. Each cell in the grid represents a specific combination of category and group (department, country, or business unit).

Cells are colour-coded from red to green:

  • Red: low score, needs immediate attention
  • Yellow: neutral, worth monitoring
  • Green: healthy score

This makes it easy to see, at a glance, exactly where the problems are without having to sift through numbers manually.

Filtering the Heatmap

Use the filter at the top right to switch between views:

  • Department
  • Country
  • Business Unit

You can also filter by time period to see whether scores have improved or worsened over a specific window.

What to do once you’ve found a problem area

Once you’ve identified a low-scoring area, head to Insights then Comments to read what employees in that group are actually saying. You’ll see open-ended responses with AI-generated sentiment labels and a summary of the key themes.

From there, you can reply to any piece of feedback directly and hold an anonymous two-way conversation with the employee. The Action Planning section in the left navigation is where you can log and track the steps you’re taking to address what you find.
